My name is Jeff Ramsdale. While I've long had a passing interest in Jini I wasn't truly exposed to it until 2003 when I joined a project built on Jini. I've been employed by SolutionsIQ since 2004 and it was there that I (with partners) used Jini to add a distributed build capability to CruiseControl. This led to an invitation to present at the 9th Jini Community Meeting. At the meeting I complained about 'the new user experience,' which prompted my being asked to help with migrating Jini.org off of CollabNet and to a new platform. So here I am, webmaster...

I'm still concerned about bringing new users to Jini and helping them get started with the technology. For that reason I'm very excited about this wiki and what it can bring to the community. I'm glad to be a part of the process. Incidentally, I'm also excited about the move to Apache and a more open development process. While there may be growing pains I'm convinced it'll all be for the best.
